683 Mini-Horn c/w Signal Silence

The 683 Series Mini-Horn is perfect for life safety applications as an alert and alarm signal. The 683 Series Mini Horn incorporates a patented “Touch to Silence” feature. The signal can be silenced immediately by touching the two sensitive contacts on the front plate. Once the signal is silenced it will resound in less than ten minutes unless the control panel alarm silence has been activated. It is ideal for applications in apartments, hotels, and dormitories etc., where life safety signaling systems are required. The Mini-Horn is designed for connection to 24Vdc polarized signal circuits with either steady or pulsed currents.

684 Signal Silence Unit

The 684 Series Signal Silence Unit is perfect for installations where it is necessary to provide silencing and resound of residential fire alarm signals in accordance with the requirements of the National Building Code. The 684 Series Signal Silence Unit allows the installation of multiple signaling appliances, in which signals connected through the 684 can be silenced at a single touch. The alarm LED will illuminate to show the alarm state. The connected devices will re-activate within ten minutes if the control panel has not been silenced. The connected devices may be re-silenced again in the same manner.

This remote silencing unit is perfect for signals mounted high on a wall or ceiling, where a device-mounted silence switch is not practical.

The 684-1C is designed to connect on any standard 24Vdc polarized signal circuit utilizing electronic signalling appliances.

IDM In-Suite Isolator Module

The IDM In-Suite isolator is designed to ensure that any tampering with the Audible Signaling Device within a dwelling unit will not affect the operation of signaling devices located in other suites or in common areas. Isolator installation is control panel and application specific. Contact your local Chubb Edwards sales representatives for specific requirements.

Application

An audible signal device located within a dwelling unit shall incorporate a means that enables the device to be silenced for a period of not more than 10 minutes after which the device shall restore to normal operations.
