Operation:

The TCP 20B50 fluorescent emergency ballast works in conjunction with an AC ballast to convert new or existing fluorescent fixtures into emergency lighting. When AC

power fails, the 20B50 immediately switches to the emergency mode, operating either one or two lamps at high lumen output for a minimum of 90 minutes. When AC power is restored, the ballast automatically returns to the charging mode.

Emergency Illumination:

Depending on the number (one or two), wattage and type of lamps selected, the 20B50 produces up to 1400 lumens initial emergency light output. If two-lamp operation is selected, light output is evenly divided between the lamps for better distribution of emergency illumination

Compatability:

Operates two 8W-28W T5, one 8W-54W T5/T5HO, two 17W-40W, one 17W-215W T8 through T12, two 13W-39W, one 13W-42W 4-pin compact, two 18W-36W or one

18W- 50W 4-pin long compact fluorescent lamps. It is also compatible with most one-, two-, three-, and four-lamp electronic, standard, energy-saving and dimming AC ballasts. If used in an emergency-only fixture, no AC ballast is necessary.

Compatability:

The TCP 20B50 emergency ballast consists of a high-temperature, maintenance-free nickel-cadmium battery, charger and electronic circuitry in a durable painted white finish metal case with a life expectancy of 7 - 10 years. A solid-state charging indicator light to monitor the charger and battery, single-pole test switch and installation hardware shall be provided.

Applications:

The 20B50 is suitable for use in indoor fixtures EXCEPT air handling heated air outlets, and wet or hazardous location fixtures. For information about specific lamp and
