With the change over from CFC R-12 to HFC 134a there are a lot of choices to make when it comes to the type of lubricant to use. It is recommended that systems using R12 continue to use mineral oil as a lubricant. When retrofitting to R134a either PAGs or POEs may be used. PAG-150 (High Viscosity)
Polyalkylene glycol developed for use in automotive compressors requiring a high viscosity polyalkylene glycol lubricant when HFC R134a is used. Specifically developed for use in General Motors compressors.
