DESCRIPTION
• Made of specially formulated Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)
• Provides excellent abrasion and cut-through resistance protection, excellent chemical and fungus resistance and good mechanical properties.
• The flexible open weave construction allows for ease in pulling over irregular shapes and also provides for dissipation of heat and moisture, preventing condensation, and allowing for complete drainage.
USES
Expandable monofilament braided sleevings provide a tough, durable protection over tubing, hoses, wire, wire bundles, wire harnesses, cable assemblies and flat ribbon cable without adding critical weight, bulk and extra cost. The resistance of the polyester monofilaments to most oils, salt water, fuels, cleaners, solvents and chemicals makes it ideal for applications in harsh environments and in electronics, marine, and industrial wire harness applications. Exhibits excellent stretch and flexibility even at low temperatures making it ideal for applications in machine tools, robotics, automated equipment and wherever exposure to extreme weather conditions is a concern.
FLUID RESISTANCE
Testing verifies that there is virtually no effect on the tensile strength and maybe only a slight reduction (approximately 5%) in elongation when exposed to the following fluids: cleaning fluid, de-icing fluid, fuel oil, gasoline, hydraulic fluid, lubricating oil, salt water and solvents.
