The standard “P” trap used in condensate lines for HVAC equipment requires water within the trap to prevent air from leaving or entering the unit. These traps can freeze, resulting in condensate backing up and causing water damage or the “P” trap can dry out and allow air to escape from the system, affecting efficiency. The RLC051 waterless trap offers a solution that requires no water for residential applications.
